Regular Muffin cake to Deluxe Muffin!

This is a classic example of the epigram "from 0 -1000 real quick". I had to do it for an amazing friend. You still don't understand what I'm saying right? Little patience would work this time. My birthday was on the 17th of January and Tosin my amazing friend (how we met is story for another day) thought it right to buy me a gift from my favorite store which is ZARA. Everyone who is familiar with me knows I am in love with this retailer, In fact I should be a shareholder. It's not about me today so lets keep the story about Tosin short and sweet.

Today being the 9th of June is her birthday and out of my benevolence I decided to reciprocate the same gesture of kindness that was shown to me. I wanted to give her something that represents how beautiful she is and not just the usual monetary gifts which would definitely come later. I went with my heart and "made" this little muffin cake garnished with beautiful flowers representing who I think she really is........... If I could light up a birthday candle using fruits I would, but that would be a project for my my best friends birthday in December.

Regular Muffin to Deluxe:

Eye-Candy

I'm sure you know all the ingredients if not how to prepare it but for courtesy sake i'll follow protocols.

Ingredients: for salad
  • One chocolate muffin cake -- (I am not a huge fan of baking so I quickly ran to the store to grab a very simple muffin cake. I went for a simple choice to avoid overcrowding ingredients.)
  • 2 -3 ripe strawberries
  • 1 ripe kiwi
  • 1 medium ripe mango
  • Beautiful flower petals of your choice
  • Baker's Chocolate
  • 3 Sticks of toothpick
Sweet chocolate baking bar and Dark chocolate Muffin cake

    Strawberries

    Mangos

    Dark chocolate Muffin Cake

Note: Melt the Baker's chocolate and refrigerate until it is ready to use

Prep:
  • Watch the kiwi, strawberries and mango. slice the strawberries in the form of a heart shape, the kiwi into a semi-circle and the mango in thin long slices.
  • Slice out a square shaped mango, kiwi cubes and strawberry cubes for garnishing

Directions: Deluxe Muffin cake
  • Place the muffin on a clean surface and scrape off the rough top to create a leveled surface area
  • Place the muffin on a clean plate, white serving plate preferably.
  • Glaze the top using the melted chocolate. Make sure to cover most of the top area.
  • Place the cut kiwis around half the muffin area.
  • Using a toothpick, attach the heart-shaped strawberry and squared-shaped mango in an upright position.
  • Sprinkle the little cubed strawberries in the middle of the muffin.
  • Arrange the flowers however you please.
Directions : Happy Birthday Lettering

  • On a clean rectangular white plate, create the writing using the thin long slices of mango. You would also need to cut some shorter as different alphabets requires different sizing.
  • Place the little kiwi cubes in between some of the alphabets to avoid a bland presentation
  • Using sliced strawberries, create the first letter of the person's name behind this creativity. (Strawberries and Kiwi were used to enhance the look of the lettering)

Yum in the Tummy!
